Polymer exports registered a decrease in materials leaving UK shores during August across Europe and Asia, with 16,400 tonnes of PE-based plastics for recycling leaving the UK, compared to 21,040 in July.
Turkey registered the most significant decrease compared with other destinations within Europe, registering 4,738 tonnes in August, compared with 8,720 tonnes in July.
All major destinations followed a similar trend, registering decreases overall, with the exception of Malaysia, which registered a marginal increase month on month.
