Recycling Plastic Export Report: December 2024

These are the latest HMRC export figures for December 2024 for PE-based plastics – commodity code 391510. Only destinations of more than 1,000 tonnes per month are included. 

Polymer – Commodity code 391510 

Polymer exports leaving UK shores during December across Europe and Asia, decreased slightly compared to November, with 16,077 tonnes of PE-based plastics for recycling leaving the UK, compared to 17,497 in November. 

Most destinations were down overall, month on month.

Despite the marginal decrease, Turkey remains the dominant destination of Polymer exports, with 6,723 tonnes received in December, compared to 6,808 tonnes in November.
