Secondary Commodity Markets Conference 2015 launched for buyers and sellers of recycled materials

The key conference for buyers and sellers of recycled materials has been launched for 2015.

Secondary Commodity Markets Conference 2015 will be held for the fifth time at One Drummond Gate in London on 3 March.

Each year, the conference has been a vital networking and market pricing and trends information event for recycling companies, waste management businesses, local authorities, businesses that use recycled content and other stakeholders.

Around 100 delegates have attended each previous conference.

Resource Efficient Business editorial director Paul Sanderson said: “I’m looking forward to hosting what has always been an excellent event.

“This conference has become a key date in the diary for those who buy and sell recycled materials such as paper, plastics, metals and glass, and gives them the opportunity to find out trends in the markets, as well as understand the factors that will influence the price of materials over the next year.

“There are a limited number of Early Bird+ and Early Bird tickets available for this conference, so register now to get the best deal.”

Confirmed speakers for the 2015 conference include:

  • Jonathan Short, deputy chairman, Eco Plastics
  • Simon Ellin, chief executive, Recycling Association
  • Keith Guest, leader – scrap procurement, Novelis
  • Lee Marshall, chief executive, LARAC
  • Peter Sainsbury, economist, WRAP
  • Jason Fazackerley, solutions specialist, Prodware.
