Northamptonshire Fire and Rescue Service has extinguished a fire at a Sims Recycling Solutions facility in Daventry.
The fire, which was described as “accidental” by the fire brigade, began on Monday evening.

Three vehicles and a cold cutting intervention vehicle were all sent to the blaze by the fire service.
On arriving at the fire, crews found a conveyor on fire. The conveyor fed a shredder. Damage was confined to the conveyor and associated machinery and was described as “slight” by fire crews.
