Straight wins contract to provide boxes and caddies to Bristol

UK manufacturer Straight has won a contract to provide the recycled-content plastic containers for May Gurney’s contract with Bristol City Council.

The contract is reported to be worth more than £900,000 and Straight will manufacture more than 200,000 kerbside boxes out of recycled plastic for use in the city. It will also produce 68,000 food waste caddies.

Straight chief executive Jonathan Straight said: “We are delighted to be working with May Gurney again on yet another major implementation. Our working relationship has grown over the years and this contract further reinforces the high quality products and service that Straight provides.”

The containers will be manufactured in Straight’s factory in Hull.
