TerraCycle Europe general manager Laure Cucuron will be speaking at The Recycling Event on 2 July 2019 at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry.
Laure will be presenting on: Creating a Loop. How manufacturers and the recycling industry are developing new packaging recycling models. This discussion will take place at the Design for Life Theatre at 10:15am-10.45am.
She has worked across most areas of TerraCycle from business development to operations and country lead for France. In 2016, she became head of business development for TerraCycle Europe, and since then has been promoted to General Manager for TerraCycle Europe.
Laure is currently pioneering a new waste management process across TerraCycle’s 12 European markets in a period of innovation and growth for the firm. This process involves manufacturers, retailers, governments and consumers, to develop circular solutions for materials such as food packaging, laboratory waste, coffee capsules, cigarette waste, and beach plastics.
In January 2019, TerraCycle, along with 25 consumer products companies and retailers announced a new e-commerce shopping platform called Loop. It aims to enable consumers to shop their favourite brands in reusable packaging.
Other new additions to The Recycling Event line up include Dsposal co-founder and chief operating officer Sophie Walker who will be taking part in a panel discussion about what new technologies will revolutionise the recycling and sustainability value chains.
WasteAid head of programmes and engagement Zoë Lenkiewicz will be presenting on why developing countries want to create market-based recycling systems to benefit the environment at the Environment: For Love or Money? Theatre.
