The REB Recycling End Markets Conference is happening!

Calling all stakeholders in the recycling sector, we have the essential event for you later this year. 

With the China situation impacting many businesses, this event will be providing vital information on destinations, including UK Recycling and alternative export markets, as well as helping exporters find a new home for their recyclable materials.

This event is in partnership with The Recycling Association and will take place on the 13th December 2017 at Edgbaston Priory in Birmingham. 

There will be various sessions across the day from leading companies in this industry including Biffa, SEPA, CPI and RECOUP. 

Speakers include: 

  • Simon Ellin, chief executive, The Recycling Association will update on the China situation, what it means for the UK and why quality must be a primary focus 
  • Trevor Williams, recycling commodities trading manager, Biffa, on how the recycling and waste industry could respond to current market conditions 
  • Colin Morrow, waste shipment unit manager, SEPA will discuss how SEPA will assist exporters looking to sell material to China and other export destinations 
  • Simon Weston, director of raw materials, CPI on what the current market means for UK paper recycling infrastructure  
  • David Wilson, managing director, Vanden Recycling on where now for plastics recycling exporters 
  • Stuart Foster, chief executive, Recoup, on if this an opportunity to improve UK plastics recycling capacity.  
     

Sessions throughout the conference will focus on themes such as Government support, plastics and paper.
