Bridge Skips will continue to offer a general skip hire service as part of the deal.

TJ Waste & Recycling operations director John Gosling said: “The acquisition is part of our expansion strategy, helping businesses large and small, from offices, shops and garages to restaurants, factories and care homes, maximise their recycling of renewable resources through highly efficient collections and competitive pricing.”

The collections include cardboard, paper, cans, plastics, soil, rubble, plasterboard and wood. Residual waste is either sent for energy recovery or to landfill.

TJ Group has a £14 million turnover that also includes revenue from its haulage business TJ Transport.
