So far, the mill in Söke produces 720,000 tonnes of cardboard per year from 100% recycled fibre using its PM2 machine, that is sourced both domestically and from abroad.

An additional mill in Kahramanmaraş produces 450,000 tonnes per year of cardboard.

Kipaş Holdings board member Sinem Öksüz Dedebayraktar said: “The new board machine will be a showcase of Valmet’s high-level technical innovations. Batı Kipaş Kagıt wants to be a forerunner in technology.

“We selected Valmet due to its innovative solutions and the good performance of Valmet’s earlier delivery of our PM1 in Kahramanmaraş.”

The machine is scheduled for completed by the third quarter of 2023.
