UPM’s Craig Robinson joins Cycle Link UK as purchasing director

Former head of RCP sourcing at UPM Shotton Craig Robinson has become purchasing director of Cycle Link UK.

As the sourcing arm of Chinese packaging group JI AN Group, Cycle Link UK sources 500,000 tonnes of recovered fibre for its kraft liner and test line board mills in China.

Cycle Link has offices in China, UK, Hong Kong, USA, Japan, Netherlands, Australia and Canada.

Craig Robinson has 11 years sourcing experience at UPM and was a key member of the project team that secured the investment of the £17 million materials recycling facility at UPM Shotton in Wales.

His new role is to lead the strategic direction of the business and grow the procurement of recovered fibre, plastics and metals. He will also develop the quality standards and inspection protocols ensuring environmental compliance and supply chain efficiency.

Craig Robinson said: “I am very excited to be joining Cycle Link UK at this stage if its development having achieved much in the UK market over the past four years.

“I will continue to champion quality and raising standards across the supply chain as this is essential in ensuring the sustainable supply of strategically important raw materials.”
