Van Dalen running campaign to get household metals

Metal recycling firm Van Dalen UK is running an advertising campaign in the north east of England asking householders to take unwanted metals to its scrap yards.

It has run advertisements in the local paper asking people to take old heavy pans, radiators, boilers, metal water tanks, garden forks, metal chains and more.

Van Dalen sales representative John Hall said: “We have had a big campaign to ask people to bring certain items to us, and the response has been great.

“We have had people from South Shields, Sunderland and Washington bringing their metal to us ad walking away with large sums of money.”

Dutch company Van Dalen began operating in the UK in 2000. It has 17 sites across Europe.
