The polymer separation facility cost over £5 million to develop and will separate up to nine different grades of plastics when fully operational.
The total capacity of the plant in Rainham, Essex will be up to 50,000 tonnes of plastics per year with feedstock from nine materials recycling facilities operated by Veolia as well as third parties.
