Accumulator Recycling managing director Kurt Kyck said: “We are confident that the efficient, friendly batteries service our customers have come to associate with Accumulator Recycling will not only continue, but expand with this agreement, which represents a pooling of the expertise of two major battery specialists – an important factor in today’s regulatory environment.”

G&P Batteries managing director Michael Green added: “We are delighted to have reached this agreement with Accumulator Recycling. Our two companies have complementary skills and customer bases, and this venture will enable us to strengthen our position further in the UK battery market and especially in the portable waste battery collection arena.”

Accumulator Recycling equipment will remain on customers’ sites, but G&P Batteries will now operate the collections.

G&P Batteries operates a nationwide service which banks, collects, sorts and recycles any type of battery. It was the first company in the UK to achieve Environment Agency approval as both an Authorised Battery Treatment Operator and an Authorised Battery Exporter.
