An expansion of its IT asset disposition (ITAD) service has been announced by Sims Recycling Solutions (SRS).

As part of its five-year strategic plan introduced by parent company Sims Metal Management, the expansion of ITAD will allow for a more tightly integrated and consistent service to customers with multiple locations.

Resources from the closure of UK and Canadian recycling facilities will be reinvested in supporting and growing ITAD.

SRS president Steve Skurnac said: “Few companies have the infrastructure to support a global ITAD programme. Customers gain efficiencies in using a standardised service and few are better able to meet corporate and legislative compliance requirements.

“Our knowledge of international markets and regulations allow us to protect our customers from fines, fees and penalties and more importantly adverse publicity in the responsible disposition of their assets.”
