Ambitious recycler CIRQLR has acquired its first nationwide firm as it continues its expansion mission.
The business-waste specialist bought Sommers Waste Solutions (SWS), which operates across the country from a base in Luton.
The acquired business specialises in the education, care and housing-management sectors.
CIRQLR chief executive David Palmer-Jones said the firm’s latest purchase “comes at an exciting time”.
“Businesses across industry sectors every week ask us to address their desire to improve their sustainability aided by the government’s ambitious regulatory support for a more circular economy,” he added.
“We welcome on board the team at SWS with managing director Mark Sommers, who adds his considerable experience and client-focused approach to CIRQLR’s senior operations team.”
The London firm earlier this year bought Surrey-focused Chambers Waste Management.
It now has almost 16,000 customers and handles around 600,000 tonnes a year.
