Swedish company Ekman & Co AB has announced the acquisition of Allan Morris Recycling, which operates a leading paper recovery facility in Deeside, North Wales.

The acquisition, effective from 26 March 2024, will see Allan Morris Recycling operate as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Ekman & Co AB.

This strategic expansion is part of UK-based division Ekman Recycling Limited’s ongoing growth journey. A member of the Ekman Group since 2016, Ekman Recycling is an Environment Agency approved and accredited exporter, trading in recovered materials within the UK, Europe, and globally.

Ekman Recycling managing director Pankaj Chowdhary said: “We have been working with Allan Morris Recycling in recent years, and we have always been impressed with its professional and flexible approach to doing business, and I am particularly pleased that Carl Robertson will remain within the business as its managing director, along with his key staff, whom we welcome with open arms and look forward to working with for many years to come.”

Allan Morris Recycling managing director Carl Robertson added: “Our relationship with Ekman has always been positive, and its long-term commitment and credibility aligns perfectly with our culture. With Ekman, we gain access to expertise, new partners, and financial strength, which will support our continued growth.”
