These are the latest HMRC export figures for April 2023 for PE-based plastics – commodity code 391510. Only destinations of more than 1,000 tonnes per month are included.
Overall exports of this grade fell to 23,540 tonnes in April down from 24,307 tonnes in March.

However, it still represented the second best month for exports since April 2021.
Europe remained the key market taking 54.7% of the total with 12,879 tonnes. Percentage-wise, this was lower than 64% in March.
This was in comparison to the rest-of-the-world which imported 10,661 tonnes of UK PE-based polymers. However, Turkey was still the largest single imported of material the UK exports to.
