Please note this report just focuses on the waste polymers of ethylene commodity code (391510), as exports of other plastics are relatively small in volume
Exports of PE-based polymers have increased incrementally since falling to 20,221 tonnes in April from 30,361 tonnes in March. Since then we have seen 21,372 tonnes in May and now 22,819 tonnes exported in June.
The EU as a whole was the largest buyer with 10,168 tonnes in June, from 8,535 tonnes in May. Poland was the main destination with 3,351 tonnes in June from 3,223 tonnes the month before.
This was followed by Spain with 2,109 tonnes (May: 1,870) and Netherlands (May: 1,754).
After the EU, Turkey was the next best destination with 9,810 tonnes in June compared to 9,566 tonnes in May.
Malaysia was the only other significant export destination with 2,039 tonnes up from 1,709 tonnes in May.
