Bin manufacturer Straight has secured a four-year place on a framework contract to supply its Steelybin range to public sector buying organisation YPO.

The framework agreement means that Straight’s Steelybin range is available to YPO customers, such as local authorities, schools, colleges, and local government departments for the first time. It is estimated that the framework is worth around £8 million to the two contractors.

Being on a framework agreement allows public sector bodies to buy services or equipment without having to go through the full Official Journal of the European Union procurement process.

Straight chief executive Jonathan Straight said: “We are delighted to announce that the YPO has selected our Steelybin range creating an exciting new avenue of potential customers for these products. The fact that the quality and supply chain evaluations have passed YPO’s exacting standards is a testimony to the focused investment we have made in this area.”
