The European Recovered Paper Council (EPRC) has confirmed that the recycling rate in Europe for recovered paper reached 71.5% in 2015.
Compared to 2010, collection and recycling of recovered paper has increased by almost one million tonnes of paper.

The recycling rate is also 1.5% higher than the target set by the EPRC in the 3rd European Declaration on Paper Recycling for 2010-15.
EPRC chairman Henri Vermeulen said: “The efforts of the EPRC perfectly complement EU policy on the circular economy. The paper fibre loop can serve as the perfect model for circularity.
“All 13 EPRC associations are proud to be part of a value chain ‘Made in Europe’, prolonging value creation and job opportunities.”
