The John Lewis Partnership has today announced that its next JLAB innovation programme will focus on reducing the impact of plastic waste.
It is calling for start-ups and established businesses to submit innovative concepts which could significantly ‘reduce the impact of plastic use in both John Lewis and Waitrose’, and help the Partnership make a ‘significant contribution towards the UK Plastics Pact targets’.
Submissions are open to any business which has a proposition that aligns with the above objectives and also meets the following criteria:
- Deep knowledge and expertise of the challenges around plastic sustainability
- A willingness to openly share information and work collaboratively together on a new proposition
- An appreciation of the John Lewis Partnership company values and John Lewis and Waitrose brands
Businesses have 27 days to make submissions through the JLAB website.
