MRW has learned that the fire at the Mill Hill Scrap Yard just off Ellesmere Avenue, London, is being treated as “suspicious” and an investigation is underway, although no arrests have yet been made.
In the early hours of 15 April, 40 fire fighters tackled the blaze. The London Fire Brigade created a “temporary hazard zone” at the site, due to concerns that heated gas cylinders present may explode, but the fire was placed under control and the cylinders made safe.
