Prices increases were seen last week for OCC and mixed papers as well as HDPE bottles.

Subscribers to Resource Efficient Business Intelligence saw in their weekly report that OCC and mixed papers both increased by £2 per tonne, while HDPE bottles also increased in value on the back of extra demand from the export market.

Certain brass and aluminium grades also saw an increase in price. Most other grades were stable.

However, as subscribers will know, despite a benefit of a weakening pound against the dollar, other factors in coming weeks may just temper any further price increases.
