Paper and some scrap metal prices rises, plastics stable

The focus in the recycling markets remains on paper prices, which continued to rise this week.

OCC increased by £4 per tonne, news & pam was up by £3 per tonne and mixed paper had an extra £2 per tonne on last week’s price.

In the scrap metal sector, copper grades added another £50 per tonne, as did brass. Aluminium actually eased back by £25 per tonne.

There was no change for plastics.
