Paper continues to ease down, markets otherwise stable

With it being summer, the market for recyclable materials is pretty quiet with arisings remaining pretty low and a lot of traders on holiday.

In the paper market, OCC lost another pound this week meaning it has dropped by the same amount for two weeks now.

The focus has definitely moved off mixed paper, with another £2 coming off, meaning it has lost £6 per tonne in the last fortnight.

Otherwise, there was no change seen in the plastics and metals markets in last week’s Intelligence.
