Paul Levett said: “The market is changing rapidly and increases in landfill tax have opened up new opportunities for the sorting, recycling and recovery of waste materials.

“Powerday is an entrepreneurial company which can move quickly to capitalise on opportunities to deliver the flexible, efficient and environmentally sound solutions which the market requires. I am delighted to have the opportunity to work with the Powerday team at such an exciting stage of the company’s development.”

Powerday chairman Mick Crossan added: “We have ambitious plans to build on the success of our modern, state of the art materials recycling facility at Willesden Junction in north west London and we have already strengthened our executive management team.

“It’s fantastic that Paul will be joining Powerday – his stature within the industry and with wider stakeholders, along with his wealth of experience will be a significant asset in the delivery of our growth strategy for the business.”

Paul Levett is also a strategic advisor at Closed Loop Recycling and non-executive director at Frankis Solutions.
