Exports of PE-based polymers increased in March with Turkey and the EU largely the only destinations, and Asia now only seeing tiny amount going there.
With 22,366 tonnes headed for Turkey in March, this was a small improvement on February’s 21,969 tonnes. This also meant it overtook February to become the record month for exports to Turkey since we began collecting this data in 2013.
A total of 12,714 tonnes went to the EU in March, up from 9,537 tonnes in February.
The strongest destination was the Netherlands with 4,632 tonnes, rising from 3,320 tonnes the month before.
Next was Spain with 2,368 tonnes, just a little higher than February’s 2,223 tonnes.
Italy received 1,462 tonnes in March, increasing from 624 tonnes a month earlier.
Belgium was next with 1,156 tonnes, up from 691 tonnes in February.
