These are the latest HMRC export figures for August 2025 for PE-based plastics – commodity code 391510. Only destinations of more than 1,000 tonnes per month are included.
Polymer – Commodity code 391510
Polymer exports leaving UK shores during August across Europe and Asia registered a decrease compared to July, with 18,263 tonnes of PE-based plastics for recycling leaving the UK, compared to 20,462 in July.
Turkey continued to remain the dominant destination of polymer exports although it registered a decrease in tonnes received in August, registering 6,954 tonnes compared to 7,966 tonnes in July.
Netherlands remained the dominant destination in Europe with 3,580 tonnes in August, just shy of the 3,598 tonnes registered in July.
Other destinations continue to show a mixed picture.
