These are the latest HMRC export figures for July 2024 for PE-based plastics – commodity code 391510. Only destinations of more than 1,000 tonnes per month are included.

Polymer exports remained steady, although most destinations registered a decrease in materials leaving UK shores during July across Europe and Asia, with 21,040 tonnes of PE-based plastics for recycling leaving the UK, compared to 21,335 in June.
Germany registered the most significant decrease compared with other destinations within Europe, registering 2,009 tonnes in July, compared with 4,256 tonnes in June.
