Recycling Plastic Export Report: March 2025

These are the latest HMRC export figures for March 2025 for PE-based plastics – commodity code 391510. Only destinations of more than 1,000 tonnes per month are included. 

Polymer – Commodity code 391510 

Polymer exports leaving UK shores during March across Europe and Asia increased compared to February, with 24,419 tonnes of PE-based plastics for recycling leaving the UK, compared to 20,528 in February. 

Turkey remains the dominant destination of polymer exports and registered a significant increase in March, registering 10,100 tonnes compared to 5,804 tonnes in February.

All other destinations remained steady overall.
