scrap-ex price changes for plastics, paper and metals

There were a number of price adjustments on the scrap-ex weekly price report as traders look ahead to a busier period as summer comes to an end.

Mixed bottles scrap-ex grade A saw its spread tighten to £265 to £300 from £260 to £305 a week ago. Natural PET was up to £420 to £445 this week from £410 to £440 last week. LDPE 98/2 was also up to £270 to £325 from 17 August price of £265 to £310.

OCC was up a touch to £128 to £140 from last week’s £126 to £138. News and pams tightened a little to £128 to £138 from £128 to £140 a week ago.

Copper dry bright also narrowed its spread to £4,800 to £5,200 from last week’s £4,800 to £5,250. Braziery copper fell to £4,675 to £5,000 compared to £4,700 to £5,050 a week ago. Aluminium cuttings widened to £950 to £1,200 from last week’s £970 to £1,200. Ferrous grade OA was trading at £265 to £335 up from £265 t £315 a week ago. 

Glass prices were unchanged.
