Recycling and waste management giant Viridor has bought Community Waste Recycling for £15.75 million.
Community Waste Recycling currently operates an advanced MRF in Milton Keynes that processes commingled dry recyclables from long- and medium-term contracts with local councils. It also operates a smaller MRF in Enstone, north west of Oxford, that processes waste from municipal, commercial and industrial customers. From this, it deals with 90,000 tonnes per annum.
Viridor south east regional director Graham Warren said: “There is a vital need to continue delivering higher recycling and resource management levels across the UK. Community Waste Recycling has an excellent track record in providing essential recycling services to businesses and councils in operating areas.
“Its professional approach, smart technology an high quality service delivery will fit very well with Viridor’s culture and we look forward to welcoming and working with our new colleagues and clients.”
