ISD Solutions completed 25 cold store projects for Waitrose in 2013 and has a further 14 projects scheduled for 2014 with more to follow.

Under Waitrose’s sustainability rules, each cold store must be air tight and thermally efficient to ensure low energy consumption and reduced lifetime running costs.

To meet its zero waste to landfill policy, all materials are fully recyclable.

ISD Solutions retail divisional director Andy Hudspith said: “We achieved nominated contractor status with Waitrose back in 2009 and have a relationship spanning 25 years.

“Delivering high performance cold storage facilities for Waitrose within project timeframes, at the same time achieving strict environmental goals remains a key focus of our design, manufacturing and installation teams.”
