London-headquartered recycler CIRQLR has bought a Surrey-focused waste management firm as it continues its ambitious growth drive.
Chambers Waste Management, which specialises in the construction materials sector, becomes the latest in a line of acquisitions by the firm.
CIRQLR said it now owned a network of regional recycling operators from the Humber to the South Coast.
The London company’s latest published accounts show its revenue at £36.5m in 2023 but it believes this has soared to about £150m since then.
CIRQLR said acquisitions and growth meant it now had 600 employees, served more than 15,000 customers and handled 600,000 tonnes of materials every year.
The firm has 19 recycling facilities and said it was “poised” to invest in more. It also aims to double its turnover and headcount.
Chief executive David Palmer-Jones said: “We have rapidly built CIRQLR Group into a significant player in the commercial recycling market and our growth journey has only just begun.
“A generational step change in how we manage business waste is underway, supported by the implementation of positive regulatory changes over the next five years.”
