Five celebrity ambassadors have been unveiled by WRAP to support its Love Food Hate Waste campaign.
Casualty actress and former Strictly Come Dancing contestant Sunetra Sarker joins celebrity chefs Rachel Khoo (pictured) James Strawbridge, Richard Fox and Shane Jordan in helping to raise awareness of how to tackle the 4.2 million tonnes of good food and drink waste each year in UK homes.
Rachel Khoo said: “Anyone who follows my blog will know I’m a big fan of leftovers, but for those who don’t, this is why I’m supporting the Love Food Hate Waste campaign.
“This is something I feel passionate about. Growing up in my house as a child, we’d often eat a complete mish-mash of things – leftover roast meat and potatoes, some noodles and whatever else my mum could find lurking in the fridge. These were meals I looked forward to and enjoyed every week, and it’s an ethos I’ve taken with me throughout my culinary career.”
