Packaging producer Coveris has launched a fully recyclable block-bottom bag range.
The Austrian-headquartered firm said its monomaterial had been validated as recyclable with paper waste.
The new bags are available in sizes up to 4kg and work for various applications in the food sector, according to Coveris.
Melinda Bonamour, market development director for paper flexibles at the company, said it had a vision of zero waste.
“With our new block-bottom bags, we want to emphasise the need for recyclable, convenient and premium-looking paper solutions” she added.
Finishing options include hot foil embossing, high gloss or matt, metallisation and transparent windows.
“As a result, [the bags] offer an attractive alternative for premium, long-shelf-life and ambient products” said Bonamour.
“These pre-made monomaterial paper bags answer food brands’ demand for effective, attractive packaging with a sustainable look and feel.”
