A new audit scheme, based on the principles of the EN15343 standard has been developed to strengthen plastics recycling processes certification.
Both EuCertPlast and RecyClass will combine efforts on plastic recycling auditing under the RecyClass Recycling Process Certification.
The schemes focus on the traceability of plastic materials in the supply chain and facilitate compliance for recyclers looking for a reliable certification.
RecyClass will now work on developing clear transition measures and a timetable for the transition from both schemes into one.
EuCertPlas’ visual identity and name will continue to be used in communication and branding activities given its well-established reputation in the plastic recycling industry.
