Small increases in price for metals seen at end of last week

Most metals barely changed on Friday after falling earlier in last week, although the trend was upwards on the whole.

Three-month copper was priced at $7,358 (£4,732) on Friday up from Thursday’s $7,285 (£4,695).

Aluminium increased to $2,009 (£1,292) on Friday from $1,985 (£1,279) a day earlier. Alloy increased to $1,905 (£1,225) from Thursday’s $1,890 (£1,218).

Lead was up to $1,999 (£1,285) on Friday from $1,990 (£1,282) a day earlier. Nickel increased to $18,100 (£11,639) at the end of last week compared to Thursday’s $17,825 (£11,487).

Tin moved upwards to $18,800 (£12,089) on Friday from $18,650 (£12,019) the day before. Zinc was up a little to $1,872 (£1,203) from $1,864 (£1,201).

Steel was back up to $565 (£363) after falling to $550 (£354) on Thursday.
