Exports of PE-based polymers from the UK increased to 24,288 tonnes in July from 22,819 tonnes in June latest HMRC data shows.
Turkey took the most with 15,484 tonnes up from 12,650 tonnes in June.
This was followed by the EU with 8,804 tonnes from the UK in July, down from 10,168 tonnes in June.
Poland continued to be the best EU destination with 3,426 tonnes up a touch from 3,351 tonnes in June.
After that, Spain (1,745 tonnes July, 2,109 tonnes June) and Netherlands (1,283 tonnes July 1,754 tonnes June) were the next best locations for UK plastics.
Malaysia was the only other significant destination with 4,399 tonnes up from 2,039 tonnes in June.
