A total of 19,525 tonnes was exported from the UK in September, up from 15,437 tonnes in August. This is according to the latest HMRC data.
Of this, almost all went to the EU, with it taking 15,674 tonnes, up from 14,387 tonnes the month before.
The Netherlands was the destination for 5,829 tonnes, up from 5,560 tonnes in the earlier month.
Spain followed with 3,470 tonnes in September, increasing from August’s 1,943 tonnes.
Greece imported 1,379 tonnes of UK material, compared to 665 tonnes in the previous month.
Belgium was next with 1,326 tonnes, up from August’s 949 tonnes.
Germany fell in September to 1,234 tonnes compared to 1,794 tonnes the month before.
France was up to 1,068 tonnes from August’s 922 tonnes.
Only Singapore broke 1,000 tonnes outside of EU countries with 1,052 tonnes, compared with just 86 tonnes in August.
