Polymer exports saw an increase in materials leaving UK shores during February across Europe and Asia, with 19,089 tonnes of PE-based plastics for recycling leaving the UK, compared to 16,760 in January.
Netherlands and Turkey remained steady. Interestingly Portugal, Italy and Germany saw large increases compared with January 2024, showing an upwards trajectory compared with February 2023.
Exports to Malaysia saw a slight decrease from 1,581 in January, to 1,145 in February.
